Advanced Certificate in Business Administration (ACBA) Admission

A Joint Program by IBA, DU & AMDISA

Following the legacy of its much sought after academic programs (MBA, BBA and Executive MBA) Institute of Business Administration (iBA), University of Dhaka is offering a regular certificate program : Advanced Certificate in Business Administration (ACBA) in collaboration with Association of Management Development Institutions in South Asia (AMDISA), a SAARC recognized body. The program is particularly suited for business executives and managers who wish to update their knowledge base but are hard pressed for time to go for a full-length MBA or EMBA Program. However, business graduates who feel the need for a refresher course to keep themselves updated with the best practices in management are also welcome. The ACBA Program consists of four modules, which are:

• Module 1: Marketing in a Changing Environment
• Module 2: Accounting and Finance for Managerial Decisions
• Module 3: Human Resources and Employee Relations
• Module 4: Strategic Planning and Leadership

Program schedule

Each module will be taught over five weeks (Fridays and Saturdays only) and total 24 weeks will be required to complete the entire program. Classes of Batch-I I will start from July 07, 2017. Classes will be held as per following tentative schedule:

Friday: 3:30 PM - 6:00 PM
Saturday: 10:30AM - 1:00 PM
2:30 PM - 5:00 PM

Eligibility Criteria

Prospective candidate s must fulfill the following criteria for admission:
- Bachelor’s degree (with a minimum 2nd class or CGPA 2.00 out of 4.00) in any discipline; and,
- At least 5 (five) years of work experience with reputed organization(s)

Admission Procedure

Candidates fulfilling the above requirements should apply using the prescribed 'Application Form' available at the contact address given below or at www.iba-due.du Application can be made for Batch-11 on any day from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm till Wednesday, May 31, 2017. Only shortlisted candidates will be appearing before an interview board for selection. Application can also be sent through e-mail at acba@iba-du.edu

The enrollment fee for the program (to be paid once only) is Tk. 5,000 (or US$ 70). The fee for individual module is Tk. 30,000/- (or US$ 400).

Key Resource

Persons The resource persons for the program comprise faculty members from IBA, University of Dhaka and other reputed business schools of Bangladesh. Leading practitioners from relevant industry will also conduct sessions.

Certification

On successful completion of each module , participants will be awarded a certificate for the module . Participant s completing all four modules will be awarded an Advanced Certificate in Business Administration (ACBA).
