Applications are being invited from candidates seeking admission in the academic year 2023-2024 in the Humanities, Business Education and Science branches of the SSC/ HSC program conducted by the Open School of Bangladesh Open University. Application Process: To be done online only through www.osapsnew.bou.ac.bd.

01. SSC Admission Notice & Short Overview 2023-2024 Session

Date of Application and Admission: 17th April to 16th June 2023

Admission Eligibility:

Minimum Qualification for Admission: Passed JSC/ JDC/ 8th Class/ Govt recognized equivalent examination.

Students who do not have JSC/ JDC/ 8th Class/ Government recognized equivalent certificate can also apply for admission, in this case the age should be minimum 14 years (as on 31/12/2022). These applicants have to pass the admission test prescribed by BOU to verify their eligibility. Details of admission test subject, manning, dates and examination centers and process are available from BOU's website, regional and sub-regional centers and study centers.

02. HSC Admission Notice & Short Overview 2023-2024 Session

Orientation: 25th August, 2023

Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Exam-2023 Routine

Today the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Exam-20232 routine of Dhaka, Rajshahi, Jessore, Chittagong, Comilla, Sylhet, Barisal, Dinajpur and Mymensingh Boards has been published. The examination will be started from Saturday, 30 April 2023.

It is hereby informed for the information of all concerned that the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Examination 2023 will be held as per the following schedule.

Board authorities can change this schedule for special needs.

BOU SSC & HSC Program (Niche- 2)

Admission going on SSC & HSC (Niche-2): Admission notice, 2023-2024 session from 15-12-2022 to 15-01-2023

The program of admission of students in the academic year 2023-2024 (2023 batch) has started in the Bangladesh Open University SSC program conducted by the Open School. Bangladeshi migrants (Niche -2 ) working/ living in Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Kuwait or interested persons of Bangladeshi origin will be admitted to the SSC & HSC program through the Bangladesh Embassy in the respective countries.

Interested students have to complete the initial application process for admission by filling the online admission form on the www.iapw.bou.ac.bd website. Candidates selected for admission will complete the final admission process by paying the prescribed fee and submitting the necessary documents to the embassy of the respective country.

Dutch-Bangla Bank (DBBL) Scholarship-2022 for SSC Passed Students

Dutch-Bangla Bank has been providing scholarships to meritorious and financially disadvantaged students studying at Higher Secondary, Graduate and Post-graduate levels in various educational institutions of the country under its scholarship programme. In this continuation, online applications are invited for scholarships from meritorious students who have cleared the SSC/equivalent examination of 2022, and are seeking financial assistance in the field of education.

Annual grant for reading materials (Taka): 2,500.00

This year's Secondary Certificate Examination (SSC) / Equivalent exam results have been released. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina announced the result around 12 noon on Monday.

Earlier, the summary of the results was handed over to Sheikh Hasina at Chameli Hall of the Prime Minister's Office. Education Minister Dr. Deepu Moni handed over the summary of results to the Prime Minister. He was accompanied by Deputy Education Minister Barrister Muhibul Hasan Naufel.

After the education minister, the chairmen of the various boards handed over the results of their respective boards to the prime minister. This year, the pass rate has decreased to 87.44 percent. The pass rate has decreased by 6.14 percent. Last year also the pass rate in SSC exam was 93.58 percent.
