Admission Eligibility:

Minimum Qualification for Admission: Passed JSC/ JDC/ 8th Class/ Govt recognized equivalent examination.

or

Students who do not have JSC/ JDC/ 8th Class/ Government recognized equivalent certificate can also apply for admission, in this case the age should be minimum 14 years (as on 31/12/2022). These applicants have to pass the admission test prescribed by BOU to verify their eligibility. Details of admission test subject, manning, dates and examination centers and process are available from BOU's website, regional and sub-regional centers and study centers.

MPH : Master of Public Health Program

MPH Admission Notice & Short Overview 2023 Session

Applications are being invited online through OSAPS (www.osapsnew.bou.ac.bd) from interested students for admission in the 2023 academic year (6th batch) to the Master of Public Health program run by the School of Science and Technology of Bangladesh Open University (BOU).


Minimum Eligibility for Application:

  • Bachelor Degree in Health Science / Biological Science / Health Science.
  • Minimum 2nd Class Pass / GPA 2.5 or above in Doctor, Engineer, Dentist, Bachelor of Nursing, Physiotherapy and 3 or 4 years Bachelor of Sociology.
  • Must be proficient in English and computer to complete the program.

Duration of the program: 2 years.

Number of Semester: 4 Semester (Duration of Each Semester – 6 months)

Number of Courses: 12 Courses and 1 Research Project.

Total Cost/ Fees: Tentative Total 80,900 Tk (Around 20, 000 Tk per Semester)

Selection criteria to Admission into the MPH Program of BOU

The selection of learners for admission into the program will be done on a competitive basis by assessing result of admission test. To be eligible for admission into the MPH Program, applicant’s minimum requirements to take part in the admission test are as follows:

- Admission test will be conducted for 1:00 hour with following subjects.

- Applicant will appear in the 100 marks MCQ typed written test and Viva-voce which consisting of -

  1. Health-related general knowledge (30 marks),
  2. Nutrition and Mother-Child Health (30),
  3. Fundamental of statistics (30 marks) and
  4. English and Bengal Literacy (10 marks).
