The government will train 4 lakh teachers to implement the new curriculum

Minister of Education Dr. Dipu Moni said, our teachers are the main soldiers in the implementation of the new curriculum. So the government has planned to train about four lakh teachers to implement this new curriculum. We are at the beginning of this journey. Together we can tackle the challenges of curriculum implementation.

He said this while addressing the chief guest at the inauguration of the online teacher training program for dissemination of the 'National Curriculum Outline 2021' at the International Mother Language Institute at Segunbagicha in the capital on Tuesday.

The education minister said that the main soldiers of the implementation of the curriculum are the teachers. Our teachers have to conduct their teaching activities in a completely different way now. There is no substitute for training to prepare our teachers for this revolutionary change in education. For this we have taken measures to train every secondary level teacher. All the teachers across the country will be given the same training at the same time, so that they can prepare themselves mentally by taking hands-on training. With training, teachers can prepare themselves by knowing in detail the changes taking place in education.

He said, the changes being brought in the education system, our preparation is extensive. The biggest obstacle in the implementation of the new curriculum is our attitude, attitude, habits. The more we worry about how many marks the student gets, where the student stands in the class at the end of the year, and the more emphasis we put on it, the more the student learns, how well he becomes, how much his perspective expands, how human he is. That is, it is very important to see how much his creativity is developing. If we cannot bring about change in that area with the implementation of this curriculum, then our aspirations will not be successful. For that we need to work on the place of what we really want. For that we need to force the attitude change.

Minister of Education Dr. Dipu Moni said, don't think that the book you will get in your hand on January 1 is the final version. This is not the final form. There is more work to be done on this. I will also bring more changes in teacher training. It's a big job. In education we are not talking about change. We are not talking about reforms. We are talking about transformation in education. I don't have the foresight to say that we will come up with a perfect plan in two/ three years of effort. But I believe we can all face the challenges together.
