  3. Territorial Sovereignty, recognition of States, State responsibility and, State Succession.
  4. Law of Treaties, Diplomatic and Consular law.
  5. Role of the International Court of Justice in Development of Contemporary International Law.

    Group B: Law of the Sea

    1. Territorial Sea: Territorial Waters, Baselines, Bays, Island, Right of Innocnet Passage.
    2. Contiguous Zone, Exclusive Economic Zone, Continental Shelf, Rights and Duties of the Coastal State, Maritime Delimitation, Landlocked State.
    3. High Seas: Jurisdiction on the High Seas, Common Heritage of Mankind, Right of Visit, Piracy, Salve trade, Hot Pursuit, Collisions, Treaty rights and Agreements, Marine Environment.
    4.  International Seabed, International Seabed Authority, Settlement of Disputes.
    5. International Tribunal of the Law of the Sea.

    Group C: International Human Rights Law

    1. Nature of Human Rights, Ideological Approaches to Human Rights International Law, Development of International of Human Rights Law.
    2. Basic Principals: Domestic Jurisdiction, Exhaustion of Domestic Remedies, Priorities of Rights, Customary International Law and Human Rights.
    3. Protection of Collective Rights, Prohibition of Genocide, Protection of Minorities, Principle of Self-determination as a Human Right.
    4. The UN Commission on Human Rights.
    5. The UN Commission on Human Rights.
    6. Implementation Mechanism through Treaty based Bodies, Human Rights Commission under ICCPR, The Committee on the Elimination of the Racial Discrimination, The Committee on the Elimination of the  Racial Discrimination Against Women and the Committee Against Torture, Committee on the Rights of the Child.

    Group D: International Criminal Law

    1. Basic Principles of International Criminal Law and Fair Trial Provisions.
    2. International Crimes: Genocide, War Crimes, Crimes against Humanity and Aggression.
    3. International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY)
    4. International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda (ICTR).
    5. International Criminal Court (ICC): History and Establishment and basic features of the ICC, Power, Functions of the ICC.
    6. Hybrid Courts and other International and Donate Courts and Tribunals with Special Reference to International Criminal Tribunal of Bangladesh.

    N. B: From each of the Groups of A, B, C and D there will be three questions (i.e. total 12 questions). Students will have to answer two questions from each Group (i.e. total 8 questions. 8✕12.5=100)
